Details of our first meeting – Wednesday 8th October

For the first meeting of the term, Wednesday 8th October at 6:30pm, we will be in room ER141 (Elvet Riverside 1 upstairs) and we will be watching Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier!

If you didn’t get to see us at the fresher’s fair don’t worry – You can sign up and pay for membership at the meeting (£3 for a year or £5 for life) or feel free to log onto the SU website and join. If you do buy a membership this gives you access to discounted tickets for cinema trips and other events we will be running throughout the year.

Our first meeting is always free so you can see if you want to keep coming along each week!

Welcome to the Website!

Welcome to Durham University Science Fiction and Fantasy Society!

We meet weekly on Wednesday evenings to watch Science Fiction films and TV on a big screen, followed by a trip to the pub to discuss the films, other films, alternate timeline theories, logical and scientific inaccuracies or whatever takes our fancy. We will post here and on our twitter account (@DU_scifisoc) where we will be meeting each week, as well as any social events. As a society we have our own Fanzine, called Metamorphoses, where you get to submit your own creative writing and is published each term, sometimes with prizes for the best pieces!
